The Chicago Section of the ACS has set up a Job Forum discussion site. This is a meeting place where ACS members and other interested parties can get together to discuss issues with finding employment.
- If you are searching for a new job, please join us. You are invited to attach a résumé to your posting.
- If you are an employer looking for a potential employee, please join us and tell us about your position.
- If you are neither, but have experience and wisdom to share, and are willing to help by occasionally answering a question, or better, acting as a mentor for other chemists and Society members, please join us.
- If you have questions about finding a job, would like someone to offer suggestions on your resume or provide suggestions on potential employers for your particular skill set, please join us.
It costs nothing to join, except perhaps a little time to follow the discussion threads, and your time could be of great value to you or a fellow chemist. You can decide to get each message posted or a summary of messages at some interval of time. You can pull out at any time that you find the Forum isn't meeting your needs.

click the "Join this Group" button on the top of the page, just to the right
of the "ACS Chicago Section Job Forum" banner, or

If you are a member of Yahoo, you can log in during the joining process, otherwise
you can set up a free Yahoo account with whatever screen name and password
you choose.
If you are a member of ACSchicagojob, you can post a message to the
forum by clicking here. The
message has to originate from the same e-mail address that Yahoo has on file
for you, otherwise it will be rejected by Yahoo.
