From Chicago
Take the Kennedy or Edens Expressway (I-90/94) south/east.  Follow signs for Interstate 90 Skyway east/Indiana toll road.  Take I-90 east to exit 5 for US-41/Calumet ave., Turn left/south onto US 41 S/Calumet Ave.  Merge onto I-80E/I-94 E/US 41 S/US-6 E via the ramp to Detroit.  Take exit 2 to merge onto U.S. 41 South, Indianapolis Blvd.  Travel 6 miles south to Teibel's, at the intersection of routes 30 and 41.  Note:  If I-80/I-94 appears very congested, stay on Calumet Avenue south to US 30, then turn left/east to the restaurant.

From the North
Take the Tri-State (I-294) south, to IL-394 (The Bishop Ford Freeway). Go south on IL-394 to US Route 30.  Exit eastbound and follow it to US Route 41.  Tiebels is on the SE corner. US 30 takes a jog to the south but then straightens out again.

An alternate, but probably slower route with traffic:
Take the Tri-State (I-294) South to I-80 East.  Take exit 2 to merge onto U.S. 41 South, Indianapolis Blvd.  Travel 6 miles south to Teibel's, at the intersection of routes 30 and 41..

From New York
Take I-80 west 770 miles to exit 2 in Indiana, then follow directions above.  Leave a little extra time.
