The #146 bus starts at Broadway and Berwyn and runs down Marine Drive, N. Michigan Ave and then State St. At Congress, it cuts over to Columbus Dr., and then over to the Adler. >From the South
Take I 90/94 (Dan Ryan Expressway) north to the 22nd Street/Lake Shore Drive Exit to I-55 (Stevenson Expressway). Exit Lake Shore Drive north to Lake Shore Drive. From Lake Shore Drive, turn right on McFetridge Drive. Follow McFetridge around the S-curve, which becomes Solidarity Drive. Follow Solidarity straight out to the Planetarium.

>From the North

Take I-290 (Eisenhower Expressway) which becomes Congress Parkway. Proceed east on Congress to Columbus Drive. Turn right (south) on Columbus Drive and proceed south through two stoplights to McFetridge Drive. Follow McFetridge around the S-curve, which becomes Solidarity Drive. Follow Solidarity straight out to the Planetarium.

Parking:
Motorcoaches and buses can unload on the north side of Solidarity Drive (the portion of Solidarity going westbound). PLEASE DO NOT unload buses in front of the Planetarium or at the CTA bus stop as this blocks traffic, and buses doing so may be ticketed by the Chicago Police Department.

Cars can park along Solidarity Drive for 25 cents (quarters only) per 30 minutes. Buses, motorcoaches, and cars can park in the lot run by Standard Parking that is along Lynn White Drive, the road that leads out to Meigs Field. Turn right off of eastbound Solidarity Drive onto Lynn White Drive and enter the parking lot at the gatehouse on the left. Parking is available for $7.75 per car or $15.50 per bus (regular daily rates as of 10/1/01; Soldier Field special event rates could be imposed without warning, though no special events are scheduled as of 10/1/01). Please be advised that the Adler Planetarium does not operate this parking lot or the parking meters.
